A 26 GRADUATE PHONE THIEF CONFESSES

An ex-convict, who goes simply by the name Steve, has talked extensively on how phone thieves successfully make money after operation.

The 26-year-old graduate of Economics opted for thievery after he failed to secure a decent job, and the option of relationship fraud did not sound lucrative to him. Join illuminati for power click here for details

In an interview with The Sun, the now repented thief disclosed that he discovered the power of stolen phones and SIM cards after he learnt that SIMs with empty bank accounts are still an asset.

“Even if you think make them steal na, nothing dey my account, think again because once these people collect your phone, they can collect up to as much as N300,000. YES!”

Speaking on his operations, he said: Email: CLICK

“We normally buy some of these SIM cards at Orile or Mushin. The people who collect these stolen phones do not know how to use them and they know about our trade. This is why we pay for it before it is given. It depends on the area where such phone is stolen and the time of the week. It’s more expensive if it is gotten from Ikeja, Lekki, Alaba International market or Oshodi. The owners are mainly businessmen and women and there must be money in their accounts.”

Steve disclosed that once they gain access to SIM cards, they transfer them into cheap phones and activate codes that prevent police or the owner from tracking.

“After untracking the phone, if I want to reset the PIN, it will ask for the account number of the person and date of birth. The account number, some do save it on their contacts and some don’t. Sometimes we are lucky and see passwords, so if I see the account number on the contact, I will use the person’s BVN to bring out all their details, including date of birth.

“When all the details are revealed, I’ll now register with the bank of the person involved. I will start by changing the pin number of that account and I can then carry out my transfers or use it to buy products before the owner will alert his bank. Like I said, we pay more money for SIM cards stolen at night or on weekends.

“This is to give us enough time to withdraw as much as we can before Monday when the banks will resume for the week. We have accounts that cannot be traced and can be operated for a short period before the bank will start asking for personal identification. You can use anyone’s BVN to create the account or transfer it into another victim’s account and withdraw it from there. When the police or bank starts to investigate, they will discover what happened and let go of the person who is also a victim,” he said.

On how to be safe Steve advised that the best thing to do is lock the SIM card by activating a password.

“This can be done by your service provider. You can also put a withdrawal limit on your mobile banking application. If not, pray that thieves or your domestic servants will not steal your phones. We now reach out to domestic servants to steal SIM cards from their bosses, especially the very rich ones. The other alternative is to pray that nothing will happen to your phone. I feel so bad when I remember the families that I caused pain to. I wish I can trace all of them and pay them back. I have promised the police that I will never steal from anyone again. I am sorry,” he said.

SUCCSESSION WAR HEATS UP IN STATE HOUSE

PREPARATION of a suitable heir to take over State House after President Museveni, is in high gear!

It’s true President Museveni has not announced his exit plan but insiders say, with a succession war on-going in State House especially between camp First Son Muhoozi Kainerugaba and camp Son-in-law Odrek Rwabwogo, God should prevail! Gen. Muhoozi is the commander of Land Forces

It looks like each camp is very much determined and no one is willing to let it go. Recently there was a hot debate on a certain MPS’ WhatsApp group about who, between Muhoozi and Rwabwogo should take this coveted seat.

Although Mr. Odrek Rwabwogo who is a son-in-law to the President has strongly denied any interest in the Presidency, his supporters are already spreading the gospel, showing how all is set for Patience Museveni’s husband to tussle it out with Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for the top office of the land. Camp Muhoozi says they are ready to carry on the mantle if President Museveni chooses to throw in the towel.

In a statement Rwabwogo released a few days ago, he said, those bringing his name into issues of succession are instead promoting themselves at his expense.

The two pager statement reads, “They assume that if they throw my name in this melee, it makes their games appear legitimate and credible. This is wrong. Munsaanze nga ndaba, amaaso ngakanude bulungi. You will not use me or anyone I work with in this undisciplined and aimless behaviour.”

“The people behind it know there is no election going on now and we only got out of one a few months back. I was not a participant in this election and therefore I am not petitioning for anything. Why would I or anyone project themselves in a non-existent contest now? What outcome would one be aiming at? Who is this with time on their hands for these distractive games at a time when the country is moving forward with the work of healing rifts provoked by the recent elections?” Asks Odrek Rwabwogo.

He however admitted that he meets some groups of people and said, “To many young people that I meet in our teaching sessions, I implore you to focus on the greater issues of our country especially the need for finding solutions to build an economy that, like rising waters, lifts all boats to the shore, to seek out what unites us and shun the use of underhand methods as a means of getting into leadership.”

“Anyone who has worked with us can easily surmise these are not our work methods. We always seek an honest, deeply engaging and thoughtful debate about what needs to be done. This is because we know that Leadership is not positions and titles. It is hard and thankless work and without a genuine calling, few can sustain the pain of the marathon and the loneliness of hard decision making.” Reads Odrek Rwabwogo’s statement.

We shall come back to this later……

CAMP MUHOOZI LAUNCH NEXT WEEK

In a leaked letter addressed to all Municipality and Division youth leaders through the National cordinator National Youth Council, they are all invited for a luncheon at Sheraton Hotel.

However, according to the organizers who call themselves ‘Friends of Muhoozi’, this function is about celebrating the achievements of Gen. Muhoozi.

Political analysts say, if this function happens to take place, it will send signals that the Muhoozi project is real and unstoppable.

Letter reads, “We are pleased to invite you at the luncheon to be held on 27th November 2021 at Sheraton Hotel Kampala at 12:30pm. The event has been organised by the Friends of Muhoozi.”

Under theme, ‘Celebrating the achievements of Lt. Gen. Muhoozi’ , Friends of Muhoozi say, “We are deeply honored and pleased to invite you as youth leaders as we are aware of your expertise and experience. Your graceful presence will be truly a source of inspiration for our members and it will gear up our efforts.”

An invitation letter signed by Chairman Lyvine Julius Kashungi and his Vice Arinda Carol says, “We are sure your presence will make the occasion more cherished for me and entire team.”

Although Gen. Muhoozi is unclear on his bid whether he is willing to takeover after dad, his close friends are everywhere on social media campaigning.

Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi, about five days ago posted on his Facebook that, “USA did it with President George W Bush Jr, Kenya has done it with President Uhuru Kenyatta, Chad with Idriss Deby among others. Why not Uganda with Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba?”

“My candidates of Choice now Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and soon Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba will come in. Present Candidate of your choice as well. The lines are clear everyone should Stick to his or her lane.” Posted Mr. Balaam.

He said, Muhoozi project is the best gift for Uganda because the First son was born into a wealthy family and so he is not into accumulating material things like most African leaders from poor background.

Balam says, Gen. Muhoozi gave them green light to start the campaign.

“The key attributes that make Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba our No1 choice are; he has more tangible and intrinsic values mentioned above. He commands Respect, Patriotism, Transparency, courage, confidence, Humility, honesty etc. Step by step, process by process we shall make it.” Balaam posted on his Facebook page.

WhatsApp groups and other media platforms have been formed to spread the gospel. There is one called, ‘Group to the Chosen one Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’ and another one is, ‘GEN. MK FOR PRESIDENT’.

DETAILS OF RWABWOGO’S DOSSIER

Dear Friends & Colleagues, I have seen some of my old media interview videos and images mischievously and callously

re-edited and distributed in increasing proportions by some elements who I suspect are intent on creating a certain line of political posturing. In the past, I have ignored these but I am now compelled to respond given the probable import and interpretation of these images by some of you, my friends. These interviews and videos have been adulterated and presented as if they were conducted today yet they are more than six years old. The people doing this, I presume are seeking to create the impression that there are some ‘special people’ in the Movement who are jostling for positions in the event of any form of succession and leadership in the party and/or country.

THE POOREST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD

The official poverty rate in the United States was 11.4% in 2020, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. By measures from the World Bank, poverty in America is higher than in parts of Asia but much lower than in much of Africa. While there is no absolute method for determining poverty rates, there is one that is widely accepted.

Gross national income, or GNI, is the sum of money earned by a country’s population and businesses within a given year. It includes income earned by corporations or persons based in a given country but operating outside of its borders. GNI is a useful measure for determining the overall income of a country. The measure helps indicate which countries are the richest and the poorest in the world.

To determine the poorest country in the world, 24/7 Wall St. reviewed data on GNI per capita for 193 countries and special regions with available data from the World Bank .

Nearly all of the poorest countries in the world are located in Africa. The continent has long struggled with violent conflicts and political instability. Harvard University researchers Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson wrote in a paper on poverty in Africa that the continent struggles economically because “property rights are insecure and very inefficiently organized, markets do not function well, states are weak, and political systems do not provide public goods.” They added that these “dysfunctional dynamics were then further reinforced by colonialism” when other countries extracted resources from Africa.

Even though some of these African countries have enough natural resources, like oil and gold, to lift incomes, much of the wealth goes to a select few at the top of the political system, leaving much of the population in poverty.

Burundi is the poorest country in the world. Here are the details:

GNI per capita: $780

2020 GDP: $3.3 billion

Life expectancy: 61.6 years

Population: 11.9 million

Burundi is a landlocked country in East Africa. It is by far the poorest country in the world, with a GNI per capita that is a fraction of the worldwide figure of $17,535.

In most of the wealthiest countries, a large percentage of the gross domestic product comes from exports, typically well beyond the 29.5% average for all countries. Yet Burundi’s exports make up just 5.0% of its GDP, the lowest share of any country. More than 86% of Burundi’s residents live in rural areas, the second-highest share among countries. Agriculture and related industries account for 28.5% of Burundi’s $3.3 billion GDP. Worldwide, agriculture makes up just 3.5% of all economic output.

The World Bank estimates GNI per capita using the purchasing power parity method, and figures are in current international dollars. All data on GNI per capita is based on the most recent available year for a given country.

Additional data on GDP in current U.S. dollars, population, life expectancy at birth and access to electricity also came from the World Bank. All data is for the most recent year available for each country.

We also considered data on public sector corruption in 2020 from the nonprofit, international watchdog and anti-corruption group Transparency International.

EARLY SIGNS THAT CANCER IS GROWING IN YOUR BODY

Don’t rely on routine tests alone to protect you from cancer. It’s just as important to listen to your body and notice anything that’s different, odd, or unexplainable. Here are 20 some signs that are commonly overlooked:

1. Wheezing or shortness of breath

One of the first signs many lung cancer patients remember noticing is the inability to catch their breath.

2. Chronic cough or chest pain

Several types of cancer, including leukemia and lung tumors, can cause symptoms that mimic a bad cough or bronchitis. Some lung cancer patients report chest pain that extends up into the shoulder or down the arm.

3. Frequent fevers or infections

These can be signs of leukemia, a cancer of the blood cells that starts in the bone marrow. Leukemia causes the marrow to produce abnormal white blood cells, sapping your body’s infection-fighting capabilities.

DETAILS OF BODA RIDERS

New details have emerged of what exactly transpired on Sunday afternoon in Mengo Rubaga Division where a former UN driver was reportedly lynched by a group of angry Boda Boda riders.

It is alleged that Aziz Bashir, a former worker with the UN was on Sunday involved in a minor accident with an unidentified Boda boda rider who scratched his car, a Toyota Allex.

Eyewitnesses reveal that after the small knock at the rear end of his car, an angry Bashir got out of the vehicle and confronted the Boda boda rider who had scratched his car. After a lengthy engagement, however, the two failed to agree on the form of compensation. It was from this point that two other Boda Boda riders shielded their friend to make his escape from any form of threat that was bound to be posed by Bashir.

The rider later fled the scene, but an unsatisfied Bashir relentlessly pursued his whereabouts and in the process, knocked down a motorcyclist. Witness accounts claim that Bashir proceeded to drive over the fallen rider – breaking his legs in the process – to continue his chase with the first one.

Perhaps angered by the fact that Bashir had knocked down one of their own in such a manner, a group of Boda Boda riders jumped on to their bikes and gave chase until they caught up with Bashir at Lyna Primary School in Mengo. They dragged him out of the car, clobbered and kicked him until he breathed his last before turning their anger onto his car, which they vandalised, breaking all windows and lights while a few opportunists made off with some car parts.

According to Police Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigire, two suspects were arrested and detained at Old Kampala Police Station. “We have embarked on viewing the CCTV footage to identify the riders who could have carried out the criminal act. Two suspects have so far been arrested in connection to the murder. The Motorcycle involved in the accident UEJ 515k and the deceased’s motor vehicle were recovered and are now parked at Old Kampala Police,” Owoyesigire said
